The book of James tells us that God grants us birth by the word of truth for God’s own purposes of caring for all people and creation. Join us this week for the Blessing of the Backpacks. The Handbell Choir plays “Ode to Joy,” “America (O Beautiful for Spacious Skies),” and “Shall We Gather at the River.” The hymns are ELW 532 (vv. 1 & 3) to begin and ELW 638 (vv. 1 & 3) to conclude.
