Known for his spirited performances, Roosevelt Credit has captivated audiences both nationally and internationally with his amazing bass/baritone voice. Appearing on Broadway in the Tony Award-winning productions of Show Boat and Porgy and Bess, he more recently has appeared on stage at the Metropolitan Opera in NYC. There he performed in the chorus of Porgy and Bess and was a cast member of X, The Life and Times of Malcolm X. His bass voice was featured in the Oscar-winning movie and soundtrack for 12 Years a Slave. He also performs regularly with many choral organizations including the choirs of St. Ignatius Loyola Catholic Church in Manhattan, the American Spiritual Ensemble, SummerScape at Bard College, and presents solo performances throughout the country.
